Generic Amoxil is an effective remedy for bacterial infections. In essence, antibiotics such as generic Amoxil, do not actually destroy bacteria. They work by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial walls that caused the infection, or simply, they stop the bacteria from reproducing by preventing the bacteria from forming walls that shield and protect them. These walls are needed in order to protect the bacteria from its immediate environment and to keep its bacterial cell intact. A bacterium without a cell wall will not be able to survive.
