What Are Vacuum Constriction Devices?
A vacuum constriction device or VCD is an external pump with a band that is used by men who have erectile dysfunction. The pump aids the penis to attain erection while the band helps in maintaining this erection.
The device is made up of an acrylic cylinder with a pump that can be directly attached to the end of the penis. A ring or band is attached on the other end of the cylinder and is attached to the body. The VCD works by creating a vacuum with the use of the cylinder making the penis attain erection while the ring helps in sustaining it. Based on scientific studies, 50% to 80% of men are pleased with the results of VCD use, but satisfaction rates may decrease over time.
How to Use the VCD

- Pump the air out of the cylinder to release the air and create a vacuum. The vacuum sucks the blood into the shaft of the penis resulting it to swell and achieve erection.
- Once the penis attains erection, slide the retaining band down to the lower end of the penis. You can use lubricant to easily slide down the band.
