Generic Lasix

Generic Lasix

Generic Lasix is a type of water or loop diuretic pill that inhibits your body from taking in excessive amounts of salt. It also helps in releasing extra salt in the body by allowing it to pass in your urine. Generic Lasix basically cures fluid retention or edema among people with congestive heart failure, liver and kidney disorders such as nephrotic syndrome. This drug is also to cure hypertension or high blood pressure and for other medications determined by a medical expert.

Generic Lasix contain furosemide or previously known as frusemide in United Kingdom as its active ingredient and starch NF, talc USP, magnesium stearate NF, lactose monohydrate NF, and colloidal silicon dioxide NF as its inactive ingredients. This drug is an anthranilic acid derivative and is available in 20mg, 40mg, and 80mg dosage strengths. It is an oral medication that comes in white to off-white odourless crystalline powder encased in tablet form. It is absolutely insoluble in water and in diluted alkali solutions, mildly soluble in alcohol, and insoluble in dilute acids.

Generic Lasix is also known as water tablets. They work by removing excess fluid from the body through the increase of urine production. Loop diuretics such as generic Lasix works by allowing the kidneys to increase the amount of salts like potassium and sodium that are filtered from the blood down to the urine. When these salts are sifted out of the blood by the kidneys, water is also taken alongside. As generic Lasix increase the removal of salts from the blood, they also increase the amount of water drawn out from the blood and into the urine.
