Silagra

Silagra

Silagra is a medicine used in treating impotence or erectile dysfunction. Silagra contains sildenafil citrate which is the same compound found in Viagra. Sildenafil citrate works to inhabit the activity of enzymes that can block blood flow to the penile region. It therefore encourages blood flow to the penis, leading to the development of an erection.

Silagra is manufactured by Cipla. The pill is available as a 100mg blue diamond shaped pill, containing sildenafil citrate. It is available in blister packs of 12, 60, 90, 120 and 180 pills.

Silagra is meant to be taken orally with water. Take the pill approximately one hour before you begin sexual activity. Silagra is not meant to be taken more than once in a 24 hour window. Never take more than one pill at a time. If you ingest more than the recommended dosage of Silagra, rush to your nearest poison control center or hospital emergency room. The medicine is not meant to be shared with other people.

Sildenafil citrate may interact with several medications including, but not restricted to, hypertension medications, medications used for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, anti fungal or anti yeast infections drugs, like fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, and voriconazole, Erythromycin, Cimetidine and Rifampi.

Most importantly, sildenafil citrate must never be mixed with nitrate containing medications. These can include patches, ointments and pills containing isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate and Methscopolamine nitrate, and nitroglycerin.

Silagra must not also be combined with other sildenafil containing drugs like Kamagra, Viagra, Aurogra and Revatio.

There may be other medications that can react negatively with Silagra to create health complications. Give your doctor a list of all the medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, non prescriptions drugs and herbal supplements. Also inform your doctor if you have a smoking habit, drink alcohol or are in the habit of using recreation drugs.

Silagra may cause minor or more serious side effects. Some of these like headaches, digestive problems, nasal stuffiness, and diarrhea may be minor and may not require prompt attention by a doctor. However, you are advised to consult with a doctor if these side effects become worse or begin to affect your daily routine. However, other side effects may be a sign of more serious problems or may cause long term damage. These side effects may require medical care as soon as they occur.

These side effects may include:
  • Respiratory difficulties
  • Auditory changes, or changes in hearing
  • Vision changes, like blurred vision or inability to tell certain colors apart
  • Pain in the chest
  • Pain in the arms
  • Fast heart beat
  • Irregular cardiac beat
  • A painful erection or prolonged one, which lasts for four hours or more
  • Seizures
  • Skin rashes, itching, swelling or other allergy reactions
In addition if you suffer from any discomfort, pain or dizziness or faint headedness after taking Silagra and upon commencing sexual activity, discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately.
